Khan Academy: World-Class Academy

Hello readers.

Ramadan Kareem for Muslims out there. May today's sharing contribute to my part in dunya and akhirah.

I am introducing you to a website that will give you free lessons, functions just like a classroom, Khan Academy. This website acts like a personal tutor for you, providing world-class lessons anywhere, anytime. It claims personalized learning environment which empowers learners to study at their very own pace by doing exercises and watching videos online. As far as I'm concerned, it's a non-profit organization so you will not be charged with any tutor fees but, you may donate if you want to or you may be a volunteer. Personally, I really love Khan Academy from the very beginning. I first found it back when I was in foundation years. This website helps me a lot especially through its Youtube videos. With 5.6 million subscribers on Youtube, it has approximately 7.5k videos online, ready to be watched. In my field, there are abundance of grammar videos. Some syntax knowledge can also be learned from the account. Then, I fuel and reinforce the knowledge with exercises to foster strong understandings. The team come over across the world that makes Khan Academy a lot more interesting and astonishing. People like Beth Harris and Steven Zucker, Smarthistory's key people are parts of Khan Academy. Hence, the credibility of this academy is not to be argue with.

Just by typing Khan Academy on your search engine, you will see its official website as the first result in the tab. Click on the link and you will be led to the website. Go sign up (I use my Google account to sign up because it's easier, everything will be linked together). On the dashboard, you will get to choose area of study as well as the level of your study. Be it kindergarten or university level. Make sure to choose a cute avatar too! As you go through the lesson, you will get to monitor the record of your progress which is morale-boosting! Score well and you can unlock some new features.

This is a Youtube video for you to experience a cool lesson from Khan Academy.

Sometimes, you've already mastered a topic but you may want to look at how they explain it because everyone has their own preferences and perspectives in understanding things. Learn how to explain in multiple ways to accommodate your students (for educators!) perhaps could be the reason why you view the videos of the topic you have mastered. Not everyone has the style and skill, so learn. Everything new is knowledge. But knowledge doesn't always something new to you.

Happy reading, readers! Till next time.
