Have you ever heard the application called Socrative? When I heard its name for the first time, the first thing I had in my mind was Socratic Method and the great Greek philosopher, Socrates. Well, Socrative has nothing to do with both of them.
According to The Digital Teacher, Socrative is a formative assessment tool that helps teachers and learners to assess understanding and progress in real time in class through the use of quizzes, questions and reflection questions.

Hence, we know that Socrative can be an online platform to assess students. If you are up to do bigger project with your students, I would say, you have to subscribe to Socrative PRO! However, if you plan to have a whoopee assessment session with a small class once at a time, basic plan is enough.
Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy! Just sign up and login to create and launch a quiz! It only requires some basic information besides your role and school's name.
On the dashboard later on, you can choose to launch Quiz, Space Race or you can get access to Result/Exit Ticket (which you can download into Google Sheet/Excel) once you have done the quiz.
Other than that, Socrative encourages students to improve the awareness of their understandings. They can also view their results immediately as they are all recorded. As a teacher, the quizzes are shareable and can be distributed to other teachers as well in order to be used as teaching aid.
