Source: Google

WebEx is the oldest of the three technologies for video conferencing that I've introduced so far. It was founded in 1995 by Subrah Iyar and Min Zhu under Cisco Systems company. Like the others, it enables the users to connect, communicate and collaborate with the world.

WebEx has an extraordinary recognition from the industry such as from Forrester and IDC Worldwide Videoconferencing. Based on the feedback, WebEx has helped to improve productivity in meetings up to 90% when it comes to collaborative meetings. It has also been rated at 93% for its ability to improve interactions and strengthen business relationships. One of the users also recommended WebEx as a complete tool in terms of video conferencing technology.

What's better than having WebEx for education? WebEx also offers video conferencing for educational purposes. This is one example on how to use WebEx with the class:

In addition, it also offers devices exclusively from the company like the Cisco WebEx whiteboard, room devices as well as desk devices. They are so cool, I swear! Check out this video:

In education field, WebEx helps to make classroom collaboration comes true. Students can be organized into project groups within seconds as well as working on any device, anytime, any where. The most important things is WebEx secures the files and chats. Secondly, it enhance distance learning effectively. Students can get access to lecture recordings or attend a virtual classroom on-the-go. Having outside experts in the meeting can also be arranged.
